Police: Man uses tree stump to break into store

FENTON, Mich. (AP) - Police in Fenton say a man used a tree stump to break into a convenience store.

The Flint Journal reports police were called to the store about 40 miles northwest of Detroit and discovered glass had been smashed.

Police say the man stole cigarettes, alcohol and lottery tickets during the Oct. 20 break-in. The case was under investigation.
