Many in Mid-Michigan see first snowfall Thursday

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

TV5's Facebook page was abuzz late Thursday morning as the season's first snow swept through parts of Mid-Michigan.

Several of our fans posted photos and video of the snowflakes from their own backyard.

"Rain showers developed today across Mid Michigan. With the cooler air in place, snow showers and even a rain and snow mix could be seen," TV5 meteorologist Catherine Bodak said. "It will also be breezy this afternoon which means wind chill values in the 30s."

Bodak says temperatures today will only top out in the low to mid 40s. Temperatures will climb back into the 50s by the weekend.

Check out the slideshow at the top of this page to view some of the photos we've received.

If you have some snap shots of the season's first snowfall email them to wnem@wnem.com or upload them on our Facebook page.
