FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (AP) - Investigators trying to solve the disappearance of a Lansing-area woman in 1990 want to dig in Livingston County after dogs reacted strongly to four locations.
Paige Renkoski was driving home from Detroit Metropolitan Airport when she disappeared 21 years ago. Livingston County Sheriff Bob Bezotte says he's optimistic that the latest developments "will lead to something."
Investigators with dogs were focusing Thursday on private property on Sober Road in Conway Township, about 30 miles east of Lansing. The next step is to get permission to dig.
In 1990, Renkoski's car was unlocked, with the engine running and the headlights on. Her shoes and purse were inside the vehicle. She was 30 years old and lived in Okemos.
