DETROIT, MI (WNEM) -
A Detroit area seventh-grader is facing a 180-day suspension for touching her teacher while stretching in class.
"I didn't know she stopped behind me. I like stretched back and then I turned around and I said 'sorry, I didn't mean to,'" explained the girl.
Other students at Madison Heights Middle School have written letters saying the touching was accidental.
But the teacher insists it was no accident and the student poked her in the deep inner thigh.
The family is appealing the suspension.
