Frankenmuth event kicks off holiday season

FRANKENMUTH, MI (WNEM) -

If you're not in the mood for Black Friday shopping or want to unwind after an early morning of hitting the sales, you might want to check out an event going on in Frankenmuth.

The Frankenmuth Holiday Celebration and Candlewalk will get underway Friday, Nov. 25.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served at 6 p.m. The ceremony starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be a candlewalk from the River Place to the Chamber Platz for the lighting of the tannenbaum, which is German for Christmas tree.

Santa will be in the Pavilion from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
