Police find man's remains after deer blind fire

THOMPSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Police responding to a report of a fire at a deer hunting blind in Michigan's Upper Peninsula found the remains of a 69-year-old man.

State police say they were called to the scene of the fire Monday afternoon in Schoolcraft County's Thompson Township.

The man's name wasn't immediately released. Police say he was from Manistique.

Police say the fire and cause of death both were under investigation.
