FLUSHING, MI (WNEM) -

Model trains and candles will light up Flushing this weekend.

"When you see the kids eyes light up each year it's all worth it," said model train enthusiast Tim Hamaker.

The enormous model train is on display at the Flushing Area Museum, which is the old train depot.

The annual display kicks off during Flushing's Candlewalk and runs the next three Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.

"All kids seem to love the trains. Some kids come year after year since they've been 4 or 5 years old," said Don Wilson with the Flushing Area Historical Society.

The board and the track were donated to the museum. Everything else, including the trains and houses, are privately owned.

Some of the pieces are even from Hamaker's childhood.

But when it comes to playing with trains there is no age limit. Infatuation with trains is timeless.
