SVSU men win, women fall to Madonna

Brett Beland scored 15 points and Rob Clark registered a double-double as Saginaw Valley State's men's basketball beat Marygrove College 102-62 Saturday.

It was the first time the Cardinals scored 100 points in a game since the 2006-07 season against Northwood, in a 102-81 victory.

The Cardinals improved to 4-3 with the victory and will next travel to Wayne State on Dec. 8.

The Lady Cards fell to Madonna College on Monday 62-55.

SVSU drops to 2-4 on the season.

Cheritee Green led the Lady Cards with 16 points while pulling down seven rebounds.

The Cards also next play Thursday when they travel to Wayne State.
