Chad D. Fournier, owner
Born to Daniel and Sally Fournier, Chad has called the Tri-City area "home" his entire life. As a graduate of Bay City Western High School Class of '92, Chad, now 38, has 22 years of experience in the landscaping industry, eight years as the sole proprietor of Artisans Landscaping and Design, Inc.
Chad interest in plants and landscaping started at a young age while working in his parents' yard and garden. This evolved into working in neighbors' yards, and eventually as summer employment for a local landscape company.
Thanks to summer landscape jobs and baseball scholarships, Chad received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Class of '96 at Point Place University in Pittsburgh, PA. Later, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture with an emphasis in Landscape Design, Build, and Construction from Michigan State University, Class of 99.
Chad's wife of 5 years, Rebecca (co-owner of Miss Lore's School of performing Arts), and sons Daniel (age 3) and Charles (6 months) are definitely Chad's first love. Outside of work, Chad and his family enjoy an active lifestyle and are diehard fans of the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans.
Chad's personal mottos are "Treat others how you would want to be treated" and "Take nothing for granted." His personal business goal is to employ others and give them the best quality life he can within the business constraints provided, while maintaining a business he can be proud of and providing a service to others that give them a landscape they can be proud of.
Chad is a member of : Michigan Nursery and Landscaping Association (MNLA), Saginaw Valley Nursery and Landscape Association (SVNLA), and the Midland Home Builders Association (MHBA). He also sits on the board of the Saginaw Valley Nursery and Landscape Association, Zion Lutheran Church in Bay City, and Starmaker Designs.
He also supports the local Little League, high schools sports programs, VFW, boy scouts, police officers, a Garden Sponsor at the Bay City State Park, and a former Firefighter for Williams Township.
