SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) - Police say a 3-year-old boy has drowned in the swimming pool at a suburban Detroit hotel.
Southfield police say they got a 911 call about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday from the Embassy Suites Hotel, saying a child was found floating in the pool..
Lt. Robert Shelide says the boy was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived, and city rescue personnel performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him.
Shelide says the boy was rushed to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, where he was declared dead.
The lieutenant says police are investigating the death. He didn't immediately release the boy's name.
