Benefit dinner to be held for injured firefighter

TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

The Richville Fire Department and St. Michael's Lutheran School Day Care in Richville will be hosting a spaghetti dinner for a firefighter who was injured in an off-duty crash.

Duane Weiss, 21, from Reese sustained a broken collarbone and pelvis when a pickup truck ran into the back of a farm tractor he was driving.

The crash occurred on Nov. 18 at about 7:30 p.m. on Saginaw Road near Vanburen Road in Denmark Township. Weiss has been off work since the accident.

The dinner will be held this 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday at the American Legion Hall, 9890 Sanilac Rd., in Richville.
