No injuries when small plane slides off runway

ALPENA, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say no one was injured when a small plane slid off the runway at Alpena County Regional Airport while preparing for takeoff.

The Alpena News reports the nose gear on Pinnacle Airlines flight 3867 from Alpena County Regional Airport to Detroit slid into the grass as it prepared for takeoff Monday morning.

The airline says there were eight passengers and three crew members on the flight. The plane had no major damage.

The passengers later were flown to their destination. Alpena County Regional Airport is located about 185 miles north of Detroit.
