SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The light snow and slippery roads caused a few problems on the roadways on Friday.

A tanker from Cass City Oil was going westbound on M-81 in Tuscola County on Friday morning when it was hit head-on by a van. That crash closed M-81 between Hurd and Fremont for about an hour.

The truck driver was not hurt, but the two people in the van were taken to St. Mary's Hospital. Their current condition is unknown and all roadways are now open.

The snowy conditions also caused a truck driver to lose control and land in a ditch. It happened just after 11:30 p.m. Thursday, on West Birch Run and Sheridan roads in Saginaw County's Albee Township. Only one vehicle was involved. The driver of that truck is expected to be okay.

A TV5 Facebook fan named Marissa Summersett posted a photo showing a crash north of Cass City on Seeger and Merchant roads. Summersett posted that state police, fire rescue and an ambulance were all at the scene. A medical helicopter can be seen on the road behind the scene. Summersett said a maroon Chevrolet Blazer and a green van hit one another head-on.
