Man arrested on teen sex charges, held on $1M bail

CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Harrison man was arrested Friday after Clare County Sheriff's deputies conducted an investigation into criminal sexual conduct charges.

During the course of the investigation, detectives interviewed a 13-year-old Harrison girl and the man involved, 32-year-old Hector Luis Mass.

Clare County Sheriff John S. Wilson said in a news release that it was learned from the girl that the alleged abuse had gone on for the past few years.

Mass was arrested on one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Mass was arraigned in court on Monday and his bond was set at $1 million. He remains lodged in the Clare County Jail.
