Local pharmacy company now hiring

Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, headquartered in Flint, is looking for 20 or more people to fill some IT jobs, which are attracting talent from around the country.

"I'm just hitting about my 45 day mark at Diplomat. I actually just picked up and moved my family across the country from San Francisco where I worked for Walmart.com," said Jenny Cretu, a new Senior Director at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy.

The jobs just keep coming. Officials said in 2011, Diplomat added more than 200 jobs to the local economy and 2012 looks to be on that pace or even better.

They need people with a variety of skills.

"Possibly with a Pharmacy Tech Certification, certainly high school level people who are looking to enter into the workplace, we are also looking for management people," said Bob Fleckenstein, a Vice President at Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy

Cretu also said that attitude and drive are a factor.

"You really just need to have a strong passion, an inquisitive mind. There's a lot of great folks out there, but we want people to really believe in what this company has to offer," Cretu said.
