Sunday afternoon, a crowd of 4,153 at The Dow Event Center saw the Saginaw Spirit defeated the Owen Sound Attack by a score of 4-2.
Saginaw's Josh Shalla scored the lone goal of the first period at 16:38.
The Attack scored the next two goals in the second frame, as Mike Halmo and Chris Bigras gave the guests a 2-1 lead.
The Spirit countered with a pair of their own in the second, as Carlos Amestoy and Jimmy Lodge gave the Spirit a 3-2 lead heading to the third period.
In the final stanza, Saginaw's Brandon Saad completed the scoring at 19:22 and the fans went home happy.
Clint Windsor stopped 31 of 33 shots to earn the win in net for the Spirit.
The Spirit are back in action on Friday night as they face the Sudbury Wolves at The Dow Event Center.
