WEST BRANCH, MI (WNEM) -
The Ogemaw Youth Wrestling Club president is tired of dealing with Suplay Products.
"It's been a nightmare," Chris Morris said.
He ordered singlets for the team from Suplay Products, but when they arrived, he said the quality wasn't up to par.
"It almost just became a joke," Morris said.
The uniforms cost $65 each. Morris says the club didn't get the quality they paid for.
"The legs bunched up. The seams were uneven. The Ogemaw name curved down it. It didn't seem to fit the kids right," Morris said.
Now the club wants their money back. But Washington state-based Suplay Products doesn't plan on sending out a refund anytime soon. The company stands behind the custom-made singlets.
"It breaks my heart that they're not happy. But because it was done as it was ordered, my hands are tied," Suplay Products Representative Jo Scott said.
So now the club is stuck with uniforms that they find unacceptable. And Morris says they won't lay down on the mat and get pinned with a $4,300 loss.
"We contacted an attorney," Morris said.
But Suplay Products isn't budging.
"If there's something wrong with the product, we back it 100 percent and we make it right. These singlets went through several different quality controls and quality checks, and none of us found anything wrong with them," Scott said.
"Do you really think that these are worth $4,300? That this is a quality product to put on these kids?" Morris said.
Now it appears a court will have to play referee and decide the winner.
