SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
WNEM TV5 has learned one person has died after a head-on collision in Saginaw County on Tuesday afternoon.
The Saginaw County Sheriff's Department responded to the crash on Swan Creek Road just west of Miller Road in James Township, shortly before 2 p.m.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
"The red vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane, according to witnesses, and struck the other vehicle which was traveling westbound in the westbound lane," said Sgt. Kevin Stevens.
Both drivers were taken to Covenant hospital.
Police say the driver of the red car was in serious but stable condition Tuesday night, but the driver of the other car died at the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
