Authorities say a barn fire in southern Michigan has killed 38 horses and sent a farm worker to a hospital with burns.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports (http://bit.ly/xFIftf) the Tuesday night fire at Campbell Stables wasn't considered suspicious. Firefighters were called about 10:40 p.m. to Campbell stables in Jackson County's Grass Lake Township.
Grass Lake Township Fire Chief Greg Jones says the employee was taken to an Ann Arbor hospital with burns to his hands and legs.
Crews arrived to find a two-story barn fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters from five area departments fought the blaze.
Crews were on the scene about 60 miles west of Detroit for several hours. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
