GRAND BLANC, MI (WNEM) -

The Silverton Skin Institute in Grand Blanc will give people Botox for a reduced price to support a good cause.

The event is called "Wrinkle Free for Fragile X." Fragile X is a genetic disorder that causes developmental problems, language delays and behavioral differences.

It's similar to autism but can be diagnosed with a simple blood test.

Dr. Kimball Silverton and his wife, Jennifer, have a 14-year-old son with Fragile X Syndrome. The money they raise from the Botox benefit will go towards the National Fragile X Foundation and the M.I.N.D. Institute, which helps people with Fragile X, autism and other disorders.

"A lot of our research within the Fragile X community will benefit and is benefiting those in the autism community and vice-versa, there's a lot of chemical reactions and behaviors that are common," says Jennifer Kimball.

If you want to go to the Botox benefit, it will happen Friday at the Silverton Skin Institute in Grand Blanc from 9 a.m. to noon. To make an appointment, call 810-606-7500.
