GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Three people were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash early Friday morning in Genesee County.
It happened at about 4 a.m. at the South Center Road and Lippincott Boulevard intersection in Burton.
Police say a bread delivery truck flipped onto its side after a collision with a year 2000 model white Chevrolet Impala being driven by a 23-year-old Flint man. The impact also forced the front wheel axle to separate from the truck.
The lone occupant of the truck, a 34-year-old Burton man, was transported to an area hospital.
Police say emergency crews had to extract one of two occupants inside the Impala. Both people were taken to an area hospital. The passenger of the Impala, a 22-year-old Flint woman, remains in critical condition.
Police have not released anyone's IDs involved in the crash. Police did say that speed seems to have been a factor in the crash. Investigators are also trying to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors.
