FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Mutual Aid was called to the scene of an apartment fire at about 4:30 a.m. It happened on the corner of Second and Oak Street in Flint.

The fire started in a multi-unit vacant apartment. When crews arrived on the scene, the house was fully engulfed. Neighbors tell TV5 that the building had just been purchased and was about to get renovated. The building is a total loss.

Firefighters also responded to a fire on Roselawn around the same time as the one on Second and Oak Street.

And crews were sent to another vacant home fire on Cottage Grove Avenue at about midnight.

Fire officials say there were four fires in 12 hours in the Flint area.

Officials are calling the fires suspicious, but they have no leads at this hour.
