SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Saginaw police are investigating a shooting that took place early Monday morning.
It happened in the 1000 block of West Genesee between Stone and Benjamin Streets at about 2:30 a.m.
Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Joseph Dutoi said the shooting stemmed from an apparent robbery outside the Genesee Street Market, about one block from Stone Elementary.
Dutoi told TV5 the 28-year-old victim was hit in the head with an object and was shot in the outer thigh. According to Dutoi, the bullet then passed through the man's genital area.
He was last listed in stable condition at an area hospital.
No arrests have been made.
