SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Area Relay for Life organizers said they are pleased with all the numbers from this weekend's events that help raise cash to fight cancer.
The group said 300 people participated in a walk/run gathering in Frankenmuth where 97 cancer survivors were honored and $78,000 was raised.
About 486 participants turned out in Shiawassee County where $128,699 was raised and 185 cancer survivors were recognized.
At an event in Clio, 250 people showed up to help raise $50,679 and honor 116 cancer survivors. And in Fenton, 350 people helped raise $100,945 and recognize 144 cancer survivors.
