SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Work is under way to upgrade traffic signals at multiple locations in the city of Saginaw, and Buena Vista and Richland townships, beginning on M-84.
This $2 million Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) project includes replacing signals and poles, along with sidewalk, curb and gutter work at 20 locations.
An MDOT spokeswoman says the replacement of the aging signals will result in safer and improved intersection operations for motorists.
The work is scheduled to wrap up in mid-November.
There will be no signal work from 3 p.m. Thursday, June 28, to 6 a.m. Monday, July 9, to accommodate July Fourth holiday traffic.
