Highest-paid athlete in Detroit isn't who you think

The highest-paid athlete in Detroit is none other than Ndamukong Suh.

According to Forbes - the Lions star made $36 million in total earnings, which includes $500,000 in endorsements last year.

Those numbers put him 14th on the world's highest-paid athletes list. Suh was suspended for two games last year which cost him $165,000.

He plans on donating more than $2.5 million to his alma mater - the University of Nebraska. Grand Rapids native Boxer Floyd Mayweather ranks No. 1 with $85 million in total earnings.
