BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
A Bay City man is behind bars after police said he held up an Auburn convenience store with a knife.
It happened just after 1 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on West Midland Road. Police say they got a call about a suspicious vehicle in the area around the same time. After responding to the robbery, police tracked down the car and made an arrest.
The sheriff has not disclosed how much money was stolen from the store.
Later Wednesday, 42-year-old Robert Lebeau was arraigned in a Bay County courtroom. Lebeau was charged with armed robbery, two counts of felony firearm, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and larceny in a building.
Lebeau is being held on a $250,000 bond.
