DENMARK TOWNSHIP, MI -
About 150 Denmark Township residents showed up to a meeting Monday to let officials know about their displeasure of a proposed tax increase.
Several people sounded off against a water project that will cost each property owner nearly $17,000.
Residents also have the option of paying for the increase with a fee of $825 a year over 40 years.
This is because township leaders decided to tap into the Saginaw City water system.
Residents plan to possibly seek counsel and take their case to the Michigan Tax Tribunal.
