BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
A 41-year-old Bay City man is in jail after stealing flags from the county buildings.
Police were called to the Bay County building on Center Avenue just after 12 p.m. Tuesday.
Witnesses said the man walked up to the building and took the flags from the flag pole and walked away.
Officers found the man just a few blocks away and recovered the flags from a nearby dumpster.
The Bay County maintenance supervisor said this isn't the first time the flags have gone missing.
