SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Neighbors say it's the kind of house you don't want on your block. The vacant home at 1221 N. Madison is an eyesore.
Nancie Glave has lived on the street for 30 years but she hates the thought of the abandoned property on the corner. She can't understand why it's still standing when crews recently demolished other homes nearby.
"We see kids going in through that door up there where they can get up in there, you know I don't know if it's safe and it just scares us and it's just not a good thing in our neighborhood and we're trying to keep our neighborhood up," said Glave.
Glave said she has contacted the city several times about the vacant home.
Officials with the Saginaw Inspection Department told TV5 the house is on the dangerous building list. City officials said it was added to the list in March of 2011 but there are no plans for immediate action.
