Semi truck hits wires on Tittabawassee Road

SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

An accident at Fashion Square Boulevard and Tittabawassee Road knocked out power and caused traffic lights to fail due to a crash and downed power line.

The incident happened around 1:20 p.m. in Saginaw Township and closed Tittabawasee Road from Fashion Square Blvd. to Towne Center.

Several businesses lost power due to the crash.

Police said a semi-truck struck hanging wires and two poles fell on Tittabawassee.

A witness said a pole was snapped in half due to the force, and another pole near it was pulled out of the ground.

The accident is under investigation.
