SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Crews are getting ready to tear down what is one of the biggest hotels in downtown Saginaw.
Organizers hope the demolition of the Plaza Hotel on Johnson Street will start next week.
It will take in upwards of 45 days to bring the building down.
People were seen taking out televisions, couches, tables and other useful appliances to give to local charities.
Habitat for Humanity and Leaning for Jesus will receive those goods.
