Swift Filters, Inc. has announced an expanded offering of filter elements for the wind power industry. SwiftGreen™ filter elements are specifically engineered for wind turbine gearbox lubrication lines. They feature a unique reusable machined aluminum bypass valve assembly which reduces expenses and cuts disposal volume. This bypass valve assembly can be used indefinitely. When it is time to replace a used element, the bypass is removed and inserted into a fresh SwiftGreen element.

SwiftGreen filter elements are ideal replacements for OEM filters on General Electric (GE®) 1.5 MW Series wind turbines. “As End of Warranty deadlines approach, many wind turbine owners have switched to SwiftGreen filter elements,” said Ned Swift, president of Swift Filters. “For example, we can provide direct replacements for filters on GE, Siemens, or Mitsubishi units that will benefit their owners with less hazardous waste disposal costs and lower replacement costs.
