(RNN) – Brad Pitt might have the multi-million-dollar acting career, but his brother Doug seems to be muscling in on his territory - at least when it comes to celebrity endorsements.
Doug Pitt is the new spokesperson for Virgin Mobil, and the cellphone company wants you to know the younger Pitt is just a regular guy, despite his pedigree.
"He washes his own car, pays his own bills, and does his own laundry," according to the company's website.
And we can clearly see that in the ad, as Doug shows us around his house, lounging in his man cave, building birdhouses in his workshop, shooting hoops, and giving his best air guitar to '70s classic rock.
The ad asks you to "show Doug some like" and visit their website. The commercial airs only in Australia, but you can find it online.
Doug Pitt resembles his older brother, and clearly has a good sense of humor about being the "adorkable" baby brother to a superstar. The ad seems to poke fun at his anti-Brad Pitt-ness.
The A-list celebrity often shills for products – like cars, Pringles or bank services - overseas so as not to tarnish his screen idol image.
And while Doug Pitt often serves as the family spokesperson for all things Brad, he doesn't just ride his brother's coattails. He has his own thing going, too.
In 2008, Doug founded the nonprofit Care To Learn, which helps provide food, health and hygiene supplies to schools in lower-income areas in the Ozarks areas of Missouri, where the brothers grew up.
Doug Pitt still lives in Springfield, MO, and had once owned a computer business before selling it to a larger company. He's now a real estate developer, according to the Springfield Business Journal.
Brad Pitt - who is married to one of the sexiest women in the world and is rumored to demand $35 million per film - recently signed on to be the spokesperson for Chanel No. 5, the legendary fragrance for women.
OK, it's not a cellphone company, but maybe Doug can introduce him to a few people - after he finishes that birdhouse he's working on.
