A funeral was held Wednesday for a homeless man shot and killed by Saginaw police.

Milton Hall, 49, was scheduled to be laid to rest today at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3404 Sheridan in Saginaw, at 2 p.m. A public viewing was held prior to the funeral.

Hall was fatally shot by police Sunday afternoon in the Riverview Plaza located off Genesee Avenue.

Police said Hall made aggressive movements toward officers with a knife and they were forced to shoot.

Six members of the Saginaw PD have been placed on paid administrative leave pending a Michigan State Police investigation.

Prosecutors were expected to review the case afterward.
