Late night fire destroys Birch Run home

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Firemen from three departments responded to a Wednesday night fire that consumed a single family home in Birch Run.

It happened just after 11:30 p.m. at the home located on Pagels Road, near Gera Road.

Fire officials say four people living inside the home and two relatives were able to escape safely.

The home is considered a complete loss. The family's new travel trailer was also damaged in the fire.

The fire remains under investigation.
