BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
Some Bay City firefighters are not asking you to put yourself in their shoes but they want you to fill up their boots.
The crews from Local 116 are raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Firefighters were on Center Avenue and Trumbull Street looking for your donations.
This is the first of three annual Fill the Boot campaigns.
Last year, firefighters raised more than $7,500 and hope to greatly exceed that total with collections this year.
The contributions help send kids to MDA Summer Camp and help support over 100 families in the area affected with these diseases.
