SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A shooting in Saginaw leaves a family mourning the loss of two cousins. The two men were killed early Saturday morning.

Police said the shooting happened on 2nd Avenue at a home where one of the victims lived. The two men were sitting in a car parked in the driveway. Someone fired several shots into the car killing both of them.

The victims' names are not being released yet, but police said the cousins were in their early 20s.

"That's what I'm stuck with. I don't understand it. This don't make no sense here," said relative Darrell Jones.

Pastor Taurus Simpson said one of the victims attended his church.

"It's senseless, very senseless and just for the young man to be in his own yard and just to come to his house like this is a tragedy and it's sad, very sad," said Pastor Simpson.

Saginaw Police is asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 422-JAIL.
