SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
Saginaw police say a gunman inside a car opened fire at a group of people who were gathered outside for a birthday party early Tuesday morning.
The violence broke out in the 1100 block of Essling, on the city's northeast side, at about 3:30 a.m.
Saginaw Police Detective Sgt. Joseph Dutoi said four people were injured in the shooting. The victims transported themselves to the hospital, according to police.
Dutio identified the injured as a 38-year-old man, two 21-year-old women and a 19-year-old woman.
Police say they are searching for a white or gray Pontiac Grand Prix.
The shooting comes on the heels of a deadly weekend in Saginaw. Police say four people were shot over the weekend, three fatally.
No other information has been released at this time.
