Three contests against Big Ten schools and a pair of tournaments highlight head coach Keno Davis' first non-conference schedule, released Monday.
Standing out among the schedule, which includes 13 games, are contests at Big Ten foes Iowa, Nebraska and Michigan.
The Chippewas will open the regular season Nov. 12 at Davis' alma mater, Iowa, in what will be the first head-to-head matchup for the two programs.
Tom Davis, Keno's father, coached at Iowa from 1986 to 1999, during which time Keno started his coaching career as an undergraduate assistant.
Nebraska will be Central Michigan's first opponent in the Sun Bowl Invitational on Dec. 22 in El Paso, Texas.
The Cornhuskers just barely edged the Chippewas in 2011, 72-69, in the two teams' first meeting.
The Chippewas will also compete in the Utah Thanksgiving Tournament in Salt Lake City Nov. 21-24.
The Chippewas will travel to Ann Arbor's Crisler Arena Dec. 29 to take on Michigan.
The Chippewas defeated the Wolverines in Ann Arbor, 78-67, during the 2007-08 season in the most recent contest between the two teams.
CMU fans will get to see the Chippewas' up-tempo offense first-hand at McGuirk Arena in an exhibition against Lake Superior State Nov. 7.
The first regular season game in Mount Pleasant will pit the Chippewas against Olivet Nov. 16.
The Utah Thanksgiving Tournament will feature Central Michigan, Idaho State, Wright State and host Utah.
McGuirk Arena will host two consecutive games following the Chippewas' return from the Utah Tournament.
Bradley will visit town Nov. 28, and the Chippewas will face Niagara Dec. 2 in the final game before CMU's winter break.
The match-up against Bradley is the first of a three-game series that will see the Chippewas travel to Bradley for the next two seasons.
The CMU-Niagara series has been hotly contested since its inception during the 2006-07 season.
Though the Chippewas have dropped all three matchups, the games have all been decided by seven or fewer points.
The Chippewas are on the road for most of December, with contests at Charlotte (Dec. 8), Pepperdine for a second consecutive season (Dec. 16), the Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso (Dec. 22-23), and Michigan.
This season will mark the second in a row the Chippewas have traveled out west to face Pepperdine, which will return the favor in 2013-14 with a game in Mount Pleasant.
Central Michigan, Nebraska, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and host UTEP will compete at the Sun Bowl Invitational.
The Maroon and Gold will return home Dec. 20 for a matchup against Texas State, the first half of a home-and-home series.
