CLARE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
Clare County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene of a car-motorcycle crash around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
Deputies said that when they arrived at the scene they found that a 2012 Ford Taurus being driven by 90-year-old Salvatore Scozzari, of Farwell. The driver was traveling westbound on Ludington Drive when the vehicle was turned into the path of an eastbound motorcycle being driven by 47-year-old Martin Embrey, also of Farwell.
Authorities said Embrey collided with the car and sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted to Saginaw's Covenant Hospital in critical condition.
Deputies said the accident remains under investigation. Authorities have not stated if Embrey was wearing a helmet during the crash or if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
