CARO, MI (WNEM) -
Tuscola County undersheriff Glen Skrent said that a teenager was approached by an unknown man just after noon on Friday while at a park near Caro.
Skrent said the 16-year-old girl was asked if she wanted to have sex by a man in a white Suburban. Authorities said she was able to run away and call 911.
The teen described the man as being in his 20s or 30s, with very tan-colored skin, with a bald head and a slight mustache.
Tuscola County Sheriff Lee Teschendorf said in a statement that he's asking the public to be concerned about the incident, but remain calm, and to report any activity such as this to 911.
The sheriff asked that if a person is safe to do so, when something like this occurs, use the camera in your cell phone to take a photograph of the subject, the vehicle and possibly a license plate.
Authorities said they are continuing to investigate this incident as leads come in.
