Local elementary school to implement dress code

Posted: Updated:
BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Parents will be shelling out more money for their kid's school supplies this year if they have children attending one local elementary school.

Doerr Elementary School in Buena Vista Township will now have a dress code for its students.

The Buena Vista Township Board of Education decided that the students will now have to wear polo shirts, pants or skirts, and black solid shoes. The shirts must be either white or any shade of blue, and the pants must be black, khaki or blue.

The school will have spirit days on Friday, which will allow students to wear T-shirts with jeans, but the jeans cannot have rips or holes.
