SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -
A closed down country club building will be the new home to Saginaw County's Mental Health Authority's administrative work.
The Mental Health Authority purchased former Germania Country Club's building on Saginaw's south side. The building will be used for various business uses, which include housing the human resources department and becoming the new site for mental health employee training.
The Saginaw County Mental Health Authority purchased the building for $280,000.
CEO Sandra Lindsey said the purchase will free up space at the Hancock Street site in downtown Saginaw. She said business has been expanding and more clinical areas are needed and parking spaces need to be freed up.
The purchase agreement does not include the golf course land behind Germania's building.
Lindsey expects the new site to open in the beginning of 2013.
