BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -
Hungry? Hundreds turned out at the Labadie Pig Gig in Bay City on Friday afternoon to support WNEM TV5 in the annual celebrity cook-off.
TV5 partnered with That Guy's BBQ and WKCQ for the charity event that ran from noon to 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
TV5's special sauce, created with assistance from Sam Licavoli, took first prize in the public voting, the second year in a row that TV5 has taken home first place in the People's Choice category.
That Guy's BBQ takes pride in doing BBQ using natural wood and charcoal. The event marked their first competition at the Pig Gig.
Hundreds of people stopped by to support TV5 and met some of our staff. Proceeds from our celebrity cook-off will benefit Santa House in Midland. About $400 was raised towards that goal.
