SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -
WNEM TV5 has learned more about a tractor accident that killed a man in Saginaw County.
The accident happened Saturday night on Bowman Dr. in Swan Creek Township. Sheriff's deputies were called to 3322 Bowman Dr. around 7 p.m. where they found 65-year-old Gary DeSander trapped under a tractor that had rolled over into a pond.
DeSander was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy showed he died from the crushing forces of the tractor rolling over and asphyxia. Authorities said the tractor was a "brush hog" type and it rolled into the pond as DeSander was working on the property.
