Kristin has covered news and weather in the Midwest and southeast. She joined WNEM in August 2012 and is excited to continue her career in Mid-Michigan where she was born and raised.
Kristin has always asked a lot of questions. She also enjoys listening to others share their experiences and stories. So, becoming a reporter just seemed natural.
She earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Florida A&M University. While at FAMU, she worked as a one man band reporter and anchor for the school's TV station.
Kristin's first professional on-air job brought her back to Michigan. She worked as a reporter at the Fox station in Lansing. In addition to reporting news and government issues in the Capitol city, she also learned to interpret weather models and forecast the weather. She became the station's weekend weather anchor.
Next, it was off to Green Bay, Wisconsin, also known as the "Frozen Tundra", where she worked at the CBS affiliate as a Reporter/Weather Anchor. There, she had a variety of assignments from covering the area's first blizzard in years, to reporting on a fatal fire, the city's first fire to claim the life of a firefighter.
Kristin returns to Mid-Michigan after working as a news writer and associate producer in Atlanta, Ga. She's ready to get back to her roots, interacting with people one on one and covering stories she hopes will make a difference to the people of Mid-Michigan.
So, if you see Kristin around town say Hello. And if you have a story you'd like her to look into send her an email at Kristin.Moore@wnem.com. You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter.
