TheNorthwood Timberwolves kickoff their football season under the lights this season with their first home night game since 2003 as they host Quincy University at Midland Community Stadium Friday, August 31 at 7 p.m.
The game will be the 15th annual Midland Partnership for a Drug Free Youth Benefit Game. Ticketsare just $7.00 with 50% of all proceeds being donated to the Midland Partnership for a Drug Free Youth, a non-profit organization dedicated to affecting positive behavior change related to alcohol, tobacco and other drug use and misuse in the Mid-Michigan area.
Besides a great college football game, the evening will feature the pre-game tailgate in the stadiumparking lot and a youth football parade in the stadium prior to the game. The first 1000 fans will receive a Timberwolves drawstring backpack, compliments of Bennigan's. There will also be other promotions to make the event a community event for the wholefamily.
"The chance to play under the lights to open the season is a fantastic opportunity for our footballprogram," said head coach Mike Sullivan. "Our relationship with the Midland Partnership for a Drug Free Youth is something we are very proud of. We would love for the community to come out and enjoy a great football game."
Tickets are on sale at the Northwood athletic office or at the gate on game day.
