Former CMU running back Ontario Sneed, 25, dies

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Former Central Michigan running back Ontario Sneed died at the age of 25 Tuesday.

The Decatur, Ill. native died at John Warner Hospital in Clinton, Ill.

The four-year starter rushed for more than 2,800 yards in his CMU career, ranking ninth all-time in rushing. He scored 26 rushing touchdowns and caught 157 passes for 1,357 yards.

Sneed signed a contract with the Colorado Ice of the Indoor Football League in 2011.

His cause of death remains unknown.
