FLINT, MI (WNEM) -
A 40-year-old Flint man faces murder charges in the death of his girlfriend. Prosecutors charged Jacob Moreles Perez with first degree murder two days after her death.
Police say the man strangled 30-year-old Angela Vance to death at a home on Minnesota Avenue early Monday morning. Officers arrested Perez shortly after.
Neighbors told TV5 they've heard the couple fighting before.
"Just a couple times at night but I didn't know if they were fighting between themselves," said neighbor Richard Brown.
Police are not releasing a lot of details about the events leading up to Vance's death.
Perez remains lodged in the Genesee County Jail.
